The extender features high-index, low-dispersion glass for high-contrast, high-resolution imagery. It features minimal optical degradation while doubling the image size, as the light is transmitted over four times the area, thus decreasing the image brightness by two stops. To create an optimized optical design for modern lenses and digital cameras, the maximum input is T1.9. The LPLX2 VV is designed to mount the LPL lens on any digital cinema camera with a native LPL mount.
